In 1931, Felix Kunkel, was working for Jasper Desk. He was up for promotion to supervisor. He was passed over for this job. He resigned in the height of the depression with a wife and three kids at home. He started a insurance & real estate business that grew until his tragic accident in 1962. His wife, Frances, held the office together until Alan graduated from college in 1964. Alan and Brenda grew the office together until their son, Richard joined the agency in 1992 and their daughter, Nanette joined in 2004.

Kunkel Insurance is unique because they are third generation that continues to focus on customer service. The people they represent are more than clients, they become friends and family.
